A portrait is more than just a mere picture. A portrait serves as an identity. An Identity that represents the true essence of what we see when we look at each other. For the photographer this is an opportunity to capture the given and the hidden in the subject. The true connection between photographer and subject is when the subject is vulnerable and the photographer is compassionately aware.
