BLACK IS BEAUTY
project focuses on capturing the strength and beauty of Black women who unapologetically wear their natural hair. The imagery of these women celebrates the elegance and versatility of Black hair, honouring the rich textures that have historically been overlooked or stigmatised.
This project is not just about hair—it’s about the larger narrative of self-acceptance and redefining beauty on our own terms. It’s a visual story that confronts the insecurity many Black women have felt about their hair, aiming to shift the narrative toward empowerment. I want to inspire other women to reject the pressures to conform and instead embrace their natural beauty
